Baby-Led Weaning

Baby-Led Weaning

Baby led weaning is allowing your child to feed themselves at their own pace. The recommendation is to not give your child anything other than milk (breast milk or formula) before 6 months.

Signs of weaning:

Needing more milk is not a sign of weaning. Babies go through many growth spurts and this could be a reason your baby wants more milk.

Some signs to look for;

.Good hand-eye co-ordination

.Gnawing/chewing toys

.Sitting unaided

The best sign is to have baby sitting at the table whilst you eat, if they grab something from your plate and eat it, they're ready!
